The University of Florence has been assessed in the QS World University Rankings by Subject by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) in 2024 too.
In this edition, 1,559 university institutions were surveyed and 55 disciplines identified in five macro-areas.
Internationally, Unifi performs best in the Natural Sciences macro-area where it ranks 224th, in Art and Humanities where it ranks 244th, and in Life Sciences and Medicine where it ranks 269th.
Where individual disciplines are concerned, the University was analysed in 24 specific areas and came out in the top 150 in the world for Agriculture, Pharmacy, Nursing, Sociology and History. It featured in the next rankings category (150-200) for Architecture, Geophysics, Geography, Geology and Earth Sciences. In addition, its rankings for Computer Science and Information Systems and Engineering - Electrical and Electronic. - improved
Among Italian universities, Unifi ranks third in History, fourth in Agriculture and Nursing, fifth in Pharmacy and Sociology.
