RESEARCH ACTIVITY

The aim of the research carried out in my lab is the synthesis of new naturalized dyes. These dyes are glycoconjugated with a saccharidic unit, lactose, through a specific linker. The final dye is defined naturalized since it contains a real natural moiety, the lactose, and also because even natural dyes are often bonded to a saccharidic unit, normally glucose. Naturalized dyes are easy to depurate, and exhibit the property of "multipurposity", that is they are able to dye textile materials, leather, hairs, wood.
