RESEARCH ACTIVITY

My research interests are the development of new methods in Analytical Chemistry, sensors and catalytic and affinity biosensors for the most important targets in clinical, food and environmental analysis. I am an expert on microtechnologies for sensor production (thick-film technology and ink jet technologies) and microflow systems. Particularly, I have a lot of experience in sensors, immunosensors, genosensors and aptasensors for analysis in real samples. More recently, the research is focused on developing new sensors based on nanomaterials, especially carbon nanotubes, nanobeads and polymer nanostructures. I am involved in projects for developing new drug delivery e targeting systems based on molecular recognition.
