What is your vision for sustainable living in 20 years' time?
European Environment Agency (EEA) organises the video competition "Generation '92" that offers the opportunity for young Europeans born in 1991, 1992 or 1993 to make a video showing their vision of a sustainable future. The winners will be invited to take part in an event on sustainable development in Copenhagen on 5 June. The best entries will also win a total of €6,000 in cash prizes.

University of Saarlandes organises a conference on landscape theory and praxis: "Landschaften: Theorie, Praxis und internationale Bezuge" which will be held 22-24 February 2012 in Nonnweiler. Please find below the programme of the conference.

The LIFE + WATACLIC (Water Against Climate Change) project aims to raise awareness on the approaches and techniques allowing a more rational use of water resources and reducing the environmental impact of urban discharges.
On the premises of this project, a workshop on "Progettare con l'acqua e per l'acqua", addressed to architects and urbanists, will be organised on Wednesday 22 February 2012 in Rome.

The cultural association Deaphoto organises the photographic workshop "Changing landscapes". Aim of the workshop is to analyse urban landscapes and to create an Observatory using the language of photography to observe territorial transformations.

The workshop is open to photographers, architects and students and will be held in Florence from February to June 2012.

co/A is both an open contest and a workshop to collect ideas and contributions aimed at the transformation of the Municipality of Auletta - a small town located in the Campania region of Italy that fell victim to the devastation of the 1980 Irpinia earthquake. The goal of the contest is to select the best ideas, design teams, and participants for Auletta's future development and transformation at both the local and regional level.

The International Conference "Tourism, Roads and Cultural Itineraries: Meaning, Memory and Development " will be held in Québec (Canada) 13-15 June 2012. This Conference seeks to interrogate the ways in which roads, routes and pathways and the imaginative itineraries which are layered upon them, are developed, maintained, deviated from, contested, imagined, remembered, travelled and experienced by, and for, tourists.

The Department of Geography of the Ecole Normale Superieure de Paris organises each year the cycle of multidisciplinary seminars "Politiques culturelles et enjeux urbains", addressing issues at the intersection of development, urban planning, history, history of art and geography.

The European Prize for Urban Public Space is an initiative of the Centre of Contemporary Culture of Barcelona (CCCB). It is a biennial competition that aims to recognise and encourage the creation, recovery and improvement of public space in the understanding that the state of public space is a clear indicator of the civic and collective health of our cities.
