Karolinska
Institutet, The
Division of International Health (IHCAR), Department of Public
Health Science at the Karolinska Institutet,
Stockholm
IHCAR is
an internationally recognised and leading institution in the
areas of global pharmaceutical issues, drug utilisation studies,
health systems research and intervention studies. The staff
includes antrophologists, educational experts, epidemiologists,
economists, medical doctors, pharmacologists, pharmacists and
sociologists. Pharmaceuticals are being studied according to
the principles of Health Systems Research, including intersectorial
collaboration, a multidisciplinary approach and with an action-orientation.
IHCAR has successfully co-ordinated and participated in two
EC financed projects: the INCO-DC project “Towards Good Pharmacy
Practice in Thailand and Vietnam - A Multi-intervention Approach
to Rationalise Drug Use Through Private Pharmacies”, (ERB3514PL950674)
and “Effect of group auditing on improving drug therapy in primary
care: A randomised controlled trial” within 1.1 Drugs and the
administration of medicines, 1993; The Biomed 1 programme, respectively. |
