Activity

The Microelectronics Lab's group main research activity is in the area of RF and microwave circuits and systems analysis and design.
Recently it has introduced modeling and characterization techniques based on vectorial large signal measurements. The methods leaded to a number of in-house design methods applied to the development of transceiver subsystems for broadband, low-power and high data wireless applications. The MicLab participates to several European and US founded research projects in the field of emerging technologies for the wireless applications and through its members to a number of international scientific Boards and Committees, it has also guest researchers at NIST, an US Government research agency.
The MICLab offers its consulting services through the MIDRA Consortium (owned by the University of Florence and Motorola Inc).
