The diameter of the pupil reveals the traits of our personality: this is the hypothesis of a research led by David Burr, professor of Psychobiology and Physiological Psychology of the Department of Neuroscience, Psychology, Drug Research and Child Health (NEUROFARBA) and Paola Binda, researcher at the University of Pisa, and conducted together with Marco Turi, of the Stella Maris Mediterraneo Foundation.
The study was published in the scientific journal eLife and shows how the fluctuations of the pupillary diameter during the vision of a simple visual stimulus are highly predictive of the personality traits of the autistic type.
