The University of Florence has approved guidelines to promote gender balance and inclusion in scientific events.
The document includes the indications of the National Conference of Equality Bodies aimed at achieving the goal of gender equality set by the United Nations 2030 Agenda.
The guidelines, proposed by the Unifi Guarantee Committee for Equal Opportunities, were approved by the Board of Directors at its meeting on 29 July 2020. Structured into eight points, they address a series of recommendations to the university community to be considered for the organization and management of public events, providing for a balanced composition among the participants and conditions of equal access to the initiatives.
