Health care for out-of-town students

A clinic at the House of Health in Viale Morgagni is now open

University of Florence out-of-town students will have a dedicated outpatient clinic starting November 2.

The outpatient clinic has been established thanks to the collaboration agreement that Unifi has stipulated with the Metropolitan City, the USL (local health unit) Toscana Centro and the Municipality of Florence. The headquarters of the "Consultorio per studenti fuori sede" has been made available by the Azienda Toscana Centro at the Casa della Salute in Viale Morgagni, 33; the University has financed the start-up of the service with €25 thousand.

Free access to the clinic is granted to non-resident students enrolled at the University of Florence for the academic year 2021/22, with a student card, health card and ID.

The service will be open from Monday to Friday during the following hours: Monday from 9 am to 12 noon; Tuesday from 3 to 6 pm, Wednesday from 9 am to 12 noon, Thursday from 9 am to 12 noon and Friday from 3 to 7 pm; access is by appointment, calling 055-545454.

The outpatient medical clinic offers a primary care service with the possibility of referral to in-depth diagnostics and/or therapy on a National Health Service prescription.
