The Sistema Informatico dell'Ateneo Fiorentino (SIAF), the University IT System, offers log-in credentials, computer literacy courses at various levels, and different topics, such as internet security, web design, computer graphics, CAD, database design, operating systems, programming languages. Students can enrol in these courses at special conditions.

University credential, SPID and CIE

SPID (Sistema Pubblico di Identità Digitale - Public Digital Identity System) and CIE (Carta di Identità Elettronica - Electronic Identity Card) are the normal procedures to access the university's online services.

At registration, you will receive your Unifi credentials (matricola - student number and password) to use the other services that are not integrated to the digital ID system.

Wi-Fi eduroam®

Wi-Fi is available in all facilities. Sign in with your credentials from your pc, tablet and smartphone. In Italy and abroad you can connect to the Wi-Fi of universities, academies and research institutions that are part of the eduroam confederation (read more).

Unifi App

Unifi App is available for Android and iOS. Download and install the app to find information, news and Unifi social profiles. View all exams, bulletin board, results, calendar, transcript of records, questionnaires, payments and map of locations and services.

Student Career Management and Online Services

Manage your academic career easily without going to the Student Admin Office. In the reserved area you can consult and modify your data, book exams, pay online with pagoPA, obtain self-certifications. From the Online Services portal, you can register or reserve for events, workshops, internships, or submit your thesis application (read more).

Campus/EDU Licensing

Software available to students: ArcGis, Autodesk Student Community, Microsoft Campus, Origin, RAR, SPSS, TerrSet (read more).

Webmail and Google Suite for Education

Throughout your studies you have access to Unifi webmail by connecting to webmail.stud.unifi.it on the Google Suite for Education you can also use the most popular Google applications to create and share documents, communicate via chat and in video meetings, manage personal and workgroup commitments with an online agenda (read more).
