In the first part, major contemporary changes in the demography of families are introduced (fertility; union formation and dissolution dynamics; intergenerational relation). In the second part, following the life course approach, the course presents an introduction to event-history analysis techniques. During the course, the students will develop their own research project to respond to substantive research question (in the area of family demography) using the STATA statistical software.
