E' titolare di un corso undergrad in "Management and Organizations" presso la New York University (sede di Florence). E' membro sherpa della Platform of Sustainable Finance presso l'Unione Europea.
E' autore di articoli accademici in management e corporate governance. Effettua attività di referaggio per riviste accademiche tra le quali British Journal of Management, Corporate Governance: An International Review, California Management Review.

Sara De Masi is Senior Assistant Professor at University of Florence and Executive Directors of the International Relations of DISEI. She also teaches Management and Organizations at New York University in Florence and she is part of the Platform of Sustainable Finance of European Commission.
She earned her degree in Management in 2004 and her Master in Governance and Strategic Management in 2006 from University of Florence. In 2011 she got her Ph.D. in Economics, Markets and Institutions at IMT – Institute for Advanced Studies, one of the top post-graduated schools in Italy. Between 2010 and 2014 she joined New York University, Leonard Stern School of Business where she studied as visiting PhD student and post-doc researcher. She has been visiting professors
She is author of academic papers on management and corporate governance and she is Reviewer of academic journals such as British Journal of Management, Corporate Governance: An International Review, California Management Review to mention some of them.
Her research interests include corporate governance, board diversity, women on boards, executive compensation, innovation, academic spin-off, regulated companies.
