ESPERIENZA DI RICERCA ALL’ESTERO
ott. 2016 – lug. 2017
Ho lavorato in Germania da ottobre 2016 a luglio 2017 presso il laboratorio di ricerca del professor Eckart Altenmüller presso l’"Institute of Music Physiology and Musicians' Medicine, University of Music, Drama and Media", in Hanover.

RESEARCH EXPERIENCE ABROAD
Oct. 2016 - July 2017
I worked in Germany from October 2016 until July 2017 at the research laboratory of Professor Eckart Altenmüller at the "Institute of Music Physiology and Musicians' Medicine, University of Music, Drama and Media", in Hanover. During my stay I conducted a study to evaluate the effectiveness of the kinesiotaping method in restoring fine motor control in musicians suffering from task-specific focal dystonia during musical performance (nlm.nih.gov/31159569/).
NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL RESEARCH COLLABORATIONS
The collaboration aims at exploring, testing and developing new devices as well as remote monitoring systems for the evaluation of the long-term effects of exercise-based training strategies on physical function and health-related quality in human subjects with spinal cord injury.
The collaboration focuses on the investigation of motor inhibition mechanisms and how these mechanisms can be modulated through the practice of different types of sporting activities. The purpose of research is to expand the understanding of the mechanisms regulating the control of motor behavior as well as to discover the potential long-lasting effects of specific sports practices on cognitive functions as possible interventions for young and elderly populations with cognitive-motor deficits.
