Clean Lab procedures (acid digestion, High-Pressure Asher (HPA) digestion, chromatography elements separation) for the preparation and purifications of elements for high-precision isotopic analysis (Rb, Sr, micro-Sr, Nd, Pb, U, Mo isotopic systematics) in solid (i.e., rock and organic samples) and liquid matrix (i.e., water, wine samples).
Trace elements analysis by ICP-MS (Element) of solid (i.e., rocks and organic samples) and liquid matrix. Isotope Dilution analysis through single and double-spike method.
Isotopic Analyses on whole rock and mineral samples through Thermal Ionisation Mass Spectrometry (TIMS) and Multi-collector Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (MC-ICP-MS); isotopic systems of expertise: 87Sr/86Sr, 87Rb/86Sr, 143Nd/144Nd, 206Pb/204Pb, 207Pb/204Pb, 208Pb/204Pb, 98Mo/95Mo, 238U/235U.
Isotope Geochemistry and Petrology applied on volcanic rocks to investigate magma genetic processes, mantle composition, pre-eruptive mechanisms in active volcanoes.
Studies on volcanic rocks and magmatic systems in Italy, Africa, Turkey, many of these are also topics of several scientific articles published on international journals.
