By working at the Neurological Unity of the IRCCS Stella Maris, I have developed expertise in: 1) administering several standardized batteries for the neuropsychological assessment of different developmental disabilities; 2) interpreting the neuropsychological results according to updated and scientifically validated models of Cognitive Development; 3) implementing new rehabilitation protocols and using several software packages to facilitate cognitive recovery in children with neurological and learning disabilities; 4) writing clinical reports and communicating the neuropsychological results to the parents and discussing and sharing clinical data with Hospital operators of different professional qualifications.
By participating to several clinical researches at the MR and Neuropsychological laboratories of the IRCCS Stella Maris, I have developed technical and organizational skills to: 1) project and implement researches to study cerebral plasticity for Language in different developmental diseases of paediatric age by behavioural and neuroimaging techniques; 2) manage research activity in a laboratory; 3) supervise thesis for master degrees; 4) draft scientific and economics reports for research projects.
By teaching at the University and by several oral talks I have acquired experience in: 1) updating scientific knowledge from the most recent literature in the field of Developmental Neuropsychology; 2) communicating scientific knowledge to young students and to people with different professional skills. Students frequently report their satisfaction attending the classes I teach and are willing to participate to research proposals of mine.
