Mi sono laureato in Matematica al DIMAI nel 1999 con il professor Carlo Casolo. Successivamente, nel 2003, ho conseguito il dottorato di ricerca in Matematica sempre sotto la guida del professor Casolo, oltre che del professor Laszlo G. Kovacs dell'Australian National University.
Dopo un post-doc di un anno all'Università di Udine, ho fatto parte del dipartimento di Matematica "F. Enriques" dell'Università di Milano, prima come ricercatore universitario (dal 2005 al 2016) e poi come professore associato.
Dall'aprile 2021 sono un professore associato di Algebra presso il DIMAI. La mia ricerca riguarda la teoria dei gruppi, in particolare la teoria delle rappresentazioni e dei caratteri di gruppi finiti ed i gruppi di permutazioni.

E' stato coordinatore di unità locale del progetto PRIN “Teoria dei gruppi e applicazioni” 2015, cofinanziato dal MIUR, triennale.

I miei interessi di ricerca sono prevalentemente nell'ambito della Teoria dei Gruppi, in particolare: Teoria delle Rappresentazioni (complesse e modulari) e dei Caratteri di gruppi finiti, questioni di orbite in azioni di gruppo.

For the three-year period 2017-2020 I was a member of the Board of the Department of Mathematics (University of Milan).
I was the coordinator of the local unit of the 2015 PRIN project “Group theory and applications”, co-financed by MIUR, for three years.
In 2013 and 2014, I obtained a "young researchers" rectoral fund of the University of Milan.
I participated in the PRIN "Group theory and applications" (in each edition co-financed by MIUR, biennial) in 2002, 2005, 2007 and 2009.
I was the principal investigator of the "PUR 2009" funds for the research project "Groups, Semigroups and Modules" at the Department of Mathematics of the University of Milan. This project was included in the “CHE Excellence Ranking 2010”.
I am a member of the Australian Mathematical Society.

My research interests are mainly in Group Theory, in particular: Representation Theory (complex and modular) and characters of finite groups, orbit problems in group actions.
