Welcome Day for international students

The University welcomes international students enroled in degree programmes and participating in the Erasmus programme in Florence

The Welcome Day will take place on Tuesday, 14 October, at 4 p.m., at the Novoli Campus (Building D5, Room 0.03, via delle Pandette 21, Florence).

Alessandra Petrucci (rector of the University of Florence), and Giorgia Giovannetti (delegate for International Relations and Multilateral Agreements), will formally welcome students enroled in degree programmes and Erasmus exchanges. The meeting will provide an overview of student services, academic programmes, and internationalisation initiatives. Additionally, Professor Enrica Caporali (professor of in Hydraulic and Maritime Engineering and Hydrology) will deliver a lecture entitled “Water and Climate Change.”

During the meeting, participants will be introduced to opportunities for engagement in EUniWell initiatives—a university alliance that includes the University of Florence alongside other European institutions—dedicated to promoting wellbeing and quality of life. The session will also highlight the opportunities available to University of Florence students through Stanford University, in addition to presenting the recently signed agreement between the University and Confcommercio Firenze, which offers international students a range of discounts and benefits at local shops and businesses.
