Patents and Copyrights

Patents, new plant varieties, trademarks, registered designs, software, and databases developed by researchers represent innovative solutions that the University makes available to businesses, startups, and the market to foster industrial progress and regional competitiveness.

For businesses interested in gaining a competitive edge or integrating advanced technologies into their processes and products, the University offers several commercialisation options:

  • licensing: granting rights for the commercial use of technology on an exclusive or non-exclusive basis;
  • transfer of ownership: permanent assignment of intellectual property (IP) title.
  • co-development and joint research: agreements for the further maturation of technology up to industrial application.
