The University of Florence offers businesses and organisations the opportunity to support initiatives, events, and projects of institutional, scientific, and cultural interest.

Through sponsorships, partners can contribute to activities tailored to the university community and the local area, while enhancing their visibility and commitment to innovation, knowledge, and social development.

Why become a Sponsor of the University of Florence

Sponsorship offers the opportunity to:

What to sponsor

Sponsorships may cover:

  • cultural, sporting, social, and public engagement events promoted by the University, Schools, Departments, and research facilities;
  • institutional initiatives, projects, and activities of interest to the university community and the local area;
  • supplies of goods, services, or works essential to University activities;
  • services provided by the University to internal and external users.

Degree programmes of all levels, including postgraduate education, and research projects are excluded from the scope of sponsorship.

Types of university sponsorships

The University of Florence have for the following forms of sponsorship:

  • financial sponsorship: the sponsor financially supports a University initiative, in whole or in part, associating its name or brand with the sponsored activity;
  • technical (in-kind) sponsorship: the sponsor provides goods, services, or works required to deliver the initiative or activity identified by the University;
  • mixed sponsorship: the sponsorship combines a financial contribution with the provision of goods, services, or works.

Conditions for sponsorship

Sponsorship agreements may be executed in compliance with the institutional principles and objectives of the University and must ensure:

  • alignment with the public interest pursued by the University;
  • the absence of conflicts of interest between public and private activities;
  • the achievement of cost savings and/or new revenues for the University.

How to become a Sponsor

Interested organisations may contact the University to explore sponsorship opportunities compatible with their requirements and the principles governing the University's administrative action.

For sponsorships exceeding 40,000 euro (excluding VAT), the University publishes specific public notices.
