The University of Florence offers organisations and businesses the opportunity to connect with students, graduates, Ph.D. students, and researchers, facilitating the identification of specialist skills and the attraction of new talent.

Through dedicated services, initiatives, and networking events with the academic community, organisations can build relationships with potential candidates and recruit profiles aligned with their growth and innovation needs.

Recruitment Services for Organisations and Businesses

The Placement Service fosters dialogue between the University and the job market, facilitating networking opportunities between organisations, businesses, and emerging talent (students and graduates) for guidance, recruitment, and employer branding. 

The Placement Service supports organisations and businesses in identifying their target audience, designing online promotional material, promoting events through institutional channels, managing registrations, organising interviews, and collecting applications.

Objective: Presentation of the organisation for employer branding purposes, sharing current vacancies and recruitment processes.

Format: In-person at a Unifi campus or online

Duration: 2 hours

Objective: On-site company visit for employer branding purposes, sharing current vacancies and recruitment processes.

Format: In-person at company premises

Duration: Half-day (4 hours) or full-day

Objective: Open-access information desk to present the organisation, collect CVs, and connect directly with young talent

Format: Physical info stand at a Unifi campus

Duration: 4 half-day or full-day sessions

Objective: Initiative dedicated to meeting and selecting young talent through introductory interviews, assessments, and other evaluation methods

Format: In-person at a Unifi campus

Duration: Half-day (4 hours) or full-day

 

Objective: The main event connecting the University of Florence with the job market, where organisations and businesses with current vacancies can meet and recruit young talent

Format: In-person at Campus Morgagni

Duration: Annual event

Career Day

Objective: Digital showcase allowing organisations and businesses to post job vacancies and extra-curricular internships, receive applications, and view CVs

Format: Restricted-access online platform

Duration: Renewable annual subscription, free of charge

Company Internships

The University of Florence supports businesses in connecting with students and recent graduates, facilitating the transition of young talent into the job market.

Through curricular and extra-curricular internships, businesses can establish training pathways that enhance skills and potential, contributing to the development of new professional profiles and strengthening the dialogue between the university and the business sector.

Curricular internships are carried out at accredited host organisations, subject to signing an agreement with Unifi. To enter into an agreement, host organisations must:

  1. Access the St@ge online platform and register;
  2. Once logged in, click on Submit a new company agreement request (Inserite una nuova richiesta di convenzione aziendale) and fill in the application form;
  3. Wait to receive by email the documentation required to finalise the agreement;
  4. Sign the Agreement for Curricular Educational and Vocational Training Internships (Convenzione per l’attivazione di tirocini di formazione ed orientamento curriculari) received via email and send it by certified email (PEC), along with any additional requested documentation, to tirocini(AT)pec.unifi.it;
  5. Wait for notification of the agreement's activation and the receipt of the countersigned agreement;
  6. Once the agreement for curricular internships is activated, contact the Internship Office of the intern's School to launch the internship.

The agreement procedure (full instructions in Annex B) is managed by the Right to Education and Student Services Unit (Settore Diritto allo Studio e Servizi agli Studenti).

Instructions in the Event of an Accident

In the event of an accident occurring during the internship, the host organisation and the intern undertake to report the incident promptly to the University of Florence by email at segnalazione.infortuni(AT)unifi.it, copying in the university tutor. This allows the required official reports to be filed within the timeframes established by current legislation.

To activate an extra-curricular internship, the host organisation must first identify the candidate. It is then necessary to define the skills, abilities, and objectives in accordance with the profile outlined in the Labour Atlas (Atlante del Lavoro) of the Regional Framework of Qualifications (Repertorio regionale delle professioni).

To initiate the procedure, please email tirocini.noncurriculari(AT)adm.unifi.it. The activation process and internship management are fully digitised via the Toscana Tirocini platform.
