Course Content
The course offers some bases of landscape design to develop territorial plans; it introduces at the Italian landscape code and the European landscape convention from some critical points of view.
The exercitation of exam, about the municipal territorial plan, looks for rules of landscape quality to make concrete the policies of the structural plan.

At the end of the course, students must demonstrate that they have knowledge and skills useful to the introduction of the landscape point of view in the territorial planning.
Prerequisites
The course refers to basic knowledges of the territorial planning that students have acquired through other teachings.

The course includes a series of lectures on the following topics: bases of the territorial planning in the European Landscape Convention, the protection of the landscape in Italy, the territorial planning in the Italian Landscape Code, the landscape in some driving experience of urban planning in Italy, bases of landscape analysis, diagnosis, planning and design, theory of landscape design of the territorial plan.
The course includes classroom exercises and exercise-examination on the following topics: thematic landscape analysis, synthesis of landscape identity characteristics, analysis of contents of the structural plan and of the operative plan, research of rules to integrate the municipal plan, the technical report.
