The new layouts of the Univeristy website and all subsidiary pages (Departments, Schools, Programmes, etc.) comply with the recommendations (and more specifically the guidelines for Public Administration websites) of Law no. 4 of Jan 9, 2004 (Legge Stanca) which regulates the accessibility of Public Administration websites.

In practical terms all level A WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) 1.0 set by W3C (World Wide Web Consortium) inside WAI (Web Accessibility Initiative) have been followed; in addition to that, the websites comply with many priorities included in AA and AAA levels.

All new sites use DTD HTML 5 while the user interface is designed using CSS 3.0 style sheets.
The old websites that are being progressively replaced, use DTD HTML 4.01 Strict or HTML 4.01 Transitional while the user interface is designed with CSS 2.0.

For online services, designed before accessibility was in the agenda of the Public Administration, the compliance will be implemented progressively, whereas new services will be designed following the new guidelines.
