Prospective students

Welcome to the University of Florence!

Start your studies at the University and proceed with the enrolment

How to enrol

Before proceeding with enrolment, it is necessary to identify the type of course you wish to enrol in, which can be either a restricted or unrestricted course.

If you want to enrol on an unrestricted access course, you must take the admission tests organised by each Unifi School.

For degree courses with restricted access, both at national and local level, you must instead participate in selections for access.

For clarification on announcements, application procedures, deadlines and other relevant information, please contact the Selection Procedures for Students Desk.

In order to apply for enrolment on degree courses with a national or local restriction, you must follow the instructions and respect the deadlines indicated in each notices of admission to the courses.

If you wish to enrol in an unrestricted degree course, you must register with SPID or CIE on  Student Career Management (Gestione Carriere Studenti - GCS).

If you do not have SPID or CIE, you can still register, by creating your user profile and choosing the password to be used on Student Career Management.

At the end of registration, the first instalment of enrolment fees, which must be paid by the enrolment deadline as set out in the Study Regulations (see the deadlines calendar), will be available in Student Career Management.

The amount of fees varies according to your ISEE valid for the right to university study. You can check this amount with the Fee Simulator.

Pay attention to the deadlines and remember: enrolment is only formalised when you have paid your fees through the PagoPA system.

When enroling, you can request the status of part-time student in order to attend university with a reduced teaching commitment. Check the fees and contributions page to see if you are entitled to exemption or other concessions.

The Student Administration Offices provide information and support on deadlines, ISEE, enrolment in non-restricted access programmes and online services provided through the Student Career Management GCS system.
