Learning Objectives - Part A
In the first phase of the course, students will acquire knowledge and skills needed to wisely use information and communication Technologies, whose integration is emerging as an important resource for the practice of medicine.
In the second phase, students will learn the conceptual framework and methodologies of EBM as a tool to promote the generation process of scientific knowledge.
The integration and application of these competencies are mandatory in order to put in practice correct methodologies for searching solutions in critical medical decision-making. The knowledge and skills acquired will give the foundation to take the lead towards a continuous professional development.

To pass the exam the students have to:
Carry out all the mandatory distance activities according to the proposed deadlines. Some distance activities will assign a score. All the scores obtained will contribute to the final grade;
write a paper choosing from a list of topics proposed by the teacher ;
review the paper produced by three other students. After that, the student have to revise its own paper on the base of specific criteria provided by the teacher .
The student's final grade will be calculated by adding :
1. the scores acquired in distance activities;
2. the teacher’s score given to the paper;
3. the score obtained from the assessment of papers of other students and its own
