Learning Objectives
The course aims to provide students with the suitable knowledge to read and interpret the landscape, the techniques to represent it and the methods and tools for its planning and design.
Prerequisites
It is recommended the attendance to the first semester Master course exams and , hopefully, the acquisition fo related ECTS
Teaching Methods
The course is structured in two modules lasting 24h (3 credits) and 48h (6 credits), held respectively by Professor David Fanfani and Professor Elena Tarsi. The two modules will be held temporally combined and they will be highly integrated in terms of objectives and methods, aiming at a single didactic outcome, developed in particular through a design exercise.
The course will be organized through lectures, thematic seminars and a substantial part of an analytical-design exercise that will allow students to deal with the landscape design of an area in the Municipality of Prato.

The workers students, formally qualified as such, should agree in advance at the beginnign of the course with the professor about the ways tro develop the study activities required to be admitted to take the exam.
Type of Assessment
The evaluation process will be diluted during the course through thematic analyses and reviews of the exercise. In the final test, students will present and discuss with professors the exercise products and will be interviewed to demonstrate the theoretical knowledge acquired.
