University's Art and Performing Arts Activities

The University's Art and Performing Arts Activities fall within Italian university third mission work. Through these activities the University of Florence encourages the dissemination and enhancement of the performing arts across the board with a view to fostering individual and collective growth through the performing arts. Students, teaching and technical-administrative staff can gain first-hand experience and knowledge of live performance, especially singing, instrumental music and theatre.

The university's Theatre Company, Choir and Orchestra are repositories of skills and ideas open to the entire academic community.

Everyone can take part, free of charge.

Each sector has its own specific activities and holds a series of events during the academic year, as well as regularly participating in official ceremonies and initiatives sponsored by the University.
