Conducting research, innovating, and building synergies and partnerships—including through co-designed initiatives—means transforming University expertise and research findings into development opportunities for businesses, the local area and society. Through a structured monitoring and analysis system, the University continuously measures the effectiveness and impact of its activities: from consolidating its patent portfolio and founding high-innovation spin-offs, to entering into licensing agreements, research partnerships and co-designed projects with public bodies and businesses. This commitment to transparency and data analysis allows strategic progress to be evaluated, providing businesses, investors and the community with a clear measure of the value and progress generated by University research. Observatory for Knowledge Enhancement The Observatory for Knowledge Enhancement (Osservatorio per la Valorizzazione delle Conoscenze - OVC) is the advisory and steering body used by the University to guide its knowledge enhancement initiatives. The Observatory acts as a bridge between research and the local area, helping to interpret the needs of businesses, public bodies and non-profit organisations, while strengthening the social, economic and cultural impact of University activities.Operational procedures for the Observatory are governed by the Guidelines for the Operation of the University Observatory for Knowledge Enhancement (Linee Guida per il funzionamento dell’Osservatorio di Ateneo sulla Valorizzazione delle Conoscenze), which can be consulted in the Statute and regulations section.
