Calls for applications open to students, academic staff and technical and administrative staff The University of Florence continues to build its global appeal through a growing network of international partnerships aimed at providing a borderless learning experience. As part of this commitment, Unifi has been awarded 686,213 euro for mobility to non-associated third countries under the Erasmus+ Programme (KA171). This outcome highlights the University's outstanding project design in a highly competitive European environment, marking its ninth consecutive selection.Allocated over a 36-month period starting from August 2026, the funding will enable students, academic staff, and technical and administrative staff from Unifi and partner universities to carry out study, teaching, and training activities through dedicated departmental calls for applications. The initiative involves 17 countries and is promoted by eight departments: Architecture (DIDA), Biology (BIO), Health Sciences (DSS), Earth Sciences (DST), Agriculture, Food, Environment and Forestry (DAGRI), Economics and Management (DISEI), Political and Social Sciences (DSPS), and Experimental and Clinical Medicine (DMSC)."This result confirms how deeply the University believes in international mobility as a tangible value for our entire community," highlights rector Alessandra Petrucci. "Strengthening ties with universities around the world allows us to offer real opportunities for dialogue and growth to students, academic staff, and personnel, while making our educational offer increasingly attractive and open to the world".Unifi offers 22 international degree programmes in partnership with foreign universities leading to joint, double or multiple degrees, alongside more than 20 degree programmes delivered partly or fully in English.The University also supports international students through an integrated welcome system designed to help them settle into university and city life: the International Students Information Desk at Morgagni for dedicated assistance with administrative procedures; the International Mobility Office for all mobility programmes, not just Erasmus+; the Internationalisation Promotion and Development Office for services dedicated to welcoming international guests, from finding accommodation to obtaining a residence permit; free Italian language courses provided by the University Language Centre (CLA); and international tutoring activities, where senior students guide newcomers in organising their studies.
