Unifi provides several generative AI tools to support your academic path. You can use them for independent learning and within course activities, following the guidelines provided by your teaching staff. The tools are integrated into Google Workspace for Education and can be accessed directly or via the Workspace environment using your university credentials.

As a best practice, personal or confidential data must never be provided or shared through prompts, file uploads or credential sharing. Data entered into Gemini and NotebookLM are not used to train AI models and are processed in compliance with the university's contractual safeguards. Google Gemini is a general-purpose AI assistant developed by Google, providing direct access to advanced capabilities that can assist you in writing, organising your work and generating learning resources. Thanks to its multimodal nature, Gemini can understand and analyse various types of content, such as text, images, documents and data, offering explanations, summaries and academic study support.

NotebookLM is an artificial intelligence tool designed to support study, research and the analysis of large amounts of information. Unlike Gemini, it is designed to work exclusively on specific user-provided sources, such as documents, presentations or other study materials, generating responses grounded in these sources and accompanied by precise citations through Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) technology. This ensures that responses remain anchored to the provided materials, enhancing the verifiability of the information generated. You can also create, organise and share notes within digital notebooks, facilitating study, in-depth learning and collaboration.
