Technical and administrative staff (personale tecnico-amministrativo - PTA) Foreign Language Teaching Assistants (Collaboratori e Esperti Linguistici - CEL) are organised into different categories, depending on their qualifications and on the kind of competitive entrance examination; their work position is regulated by national collective bargaining agreements.

Technologists (tecnologi) are hired with a fixed term contract through a public selection procedure. The contracts have a minimum duration of 18 months and a maximum of 5 years. Technologists carry out support activity to research both at technical and administrative levels. In particular, they perform tasks of high technical and professional content within the framework of the University's research activities following the directives given by the research manager or by the head of the structure. They also carry out administrative tasks strictly connected to the management of the research projects they are involved in. There are two different levels: the first level technologist for which the possession of a master's degree is required, as well as a particular professional qualification and the second level technologist for which possession of a bachelor or equivalent degree is required as well as a particular professional qualification.

The legal publication of University documents, for the effectiveness of which a form of publicity of legal and evidential relevance is required, is guaranteed through the Official Register.
