Training for institutional roles

Training for institutional roles constitutes a strategic lever to strengthen governing capacity and develop effective and conscious management of the University of Florence.

It supports the exercise of responsibility functions and contributes to the development of a participatory, aware governance oriented towards the quality of processes and services.

What it offers

The educational offer is divided into paths dedicated to different institutional roles, with the aim of developing the skills necessary to exercise responsibility and governing functions.

The paths guide chairs of degree programmes, heads of departments, heads of institutional units, and student representatives in developing decision-making and leadership skills, managing processes and resources, and understanding institutional frameworks. Particular attention is paid to heads of organisational units, to strengthen skills related to coordination, work organisation, and the management of Quality Assurance systems.

The offer also includes initiatives dedicated to developing digital skills and managing organisational innovation processes.

How it works

Training initiatives are part of a coordinated system that integrates planning, implementation, and evaluation, with the goal of supporting governing processes and improving the effectiveness of institutional units.

The system promotes results-oriented management and strengthens the capacity to oversee planning, monitoring, and evaluation processes.
