Where can you travel?

With your pass, you can travel within the Florence metropolitan area using:

• the tramway;
• urban buses in the municipalities of the metropolitan area;
• selected overlapping suburban routes;
• regional trains at the main railway stations in Florence.

How much does the pass cost?

The cost depends on your ISEE (Equivalent Economic Situation Indicator):

• 50 euro if your ISEE is up to 36,151.98 euro
• 65 euro if you do not submit an ISEE or if your ISEE exceeds 36,151.98 euro

Validity period

The pass is valid from 1 October to 31 July .

You are eligible for the concession if:

• you are regularly enrolled for the 2026/2027 academic year;
• you are a student or Ph.D. student at the University of Florence.

The procedure varies according to your age and your ISEE (Equivalent Economic Situation Indicator).

To be considered regularly enrolled, you must have completed your enrolment or annual registration and paid your tuition fees for the 2026/2027 academic year.

The following are not eligible for the concession:

• research fellows and researchers;
• students enrolled in first and second level Professional Master's programmes;
• students enrolled in Specialisation Schools;
• students enrolled in advanced training, vocational training and continuing education courses, or Specialisation courses for special needs teaching;
• students enrolled in initial teacher training programmes worth 30, 36 and 60 ECTS;
• students enrolled in single courses;
• incoming Erasmus students.

Students enrolled in the Semestre Aperto for the 2026/2027 academic year may apply for a 50% reimbursement of expenses incurred for Local Public Transport.

• Immediate purchase: Unlike other students (for whom discounted pass sales begin on 21 September with validity starting 1 October), students enrolled in the Semestre Aperto may purchase the standard-rate quarterly pass immediately.
• Eligible pass type: Reimbursements are granted exclusively for the purchase of the Autolinee Toscane quarterly urban pass for capital city (Abbonamento urbano capoluogo trimestrale). 

Monthly or annual passes are not eligible for reimbursement.

• Application procedure: Once the purchase is complete, submit the reimbursement form to mobilita.studenti(AT)unifi.it. Applications must be sent exclusively from your official university email account (edu.unifi.it). 

Requests sent from personal email accounts will not be processed.

• Reimbursement disbursement: Following verification conducted in cooperation with Autolinee Toscane, the 50% refund will be credited within 30 working days via bank transfer to the IBAN (held or jointly held by the applicant) specified on the form.

Unifi promotes sustainable mobility through dedicated agreements and services.

Every year, the University publishes a call for applications for allocated parking spaces reserved for Unifi students. 

Parking spaces — available at selected campuses — are allocated based on a ranking list. To apply, you must submit an application following the procedures and deadlines specified in the annual call for applications.

The number of available parking spaces and locations may vary each academic year.
