Campuses and facilities

The University of Florence is located in several areas of the city and the metropolitan region, featuring campuses, teaching centers, historic buildings, and specialized facilities. Each location offers lecture halls, libraries, laboratories, study spaces, student services, and connections to the local area. 

In this section, you can discover the main places of university life, find the location of your course, consult maps, check lecture halls, and find your way around available services, transport, and spaces.

As the main campus for the social sciences area, it is located in via delle Pandette, Florence. It hosts teaching activities and services connected to the Schools of Economics and Management, Law, and Political Sciences 'Cesare Alfieri', as well as departments, student administration offices, study spaces, and support services. 

Here you will also find the Social Sciences Library, the university canteen, cafes and reading rooms, the DSU Caponnetto Residence, and other teaching buildings.

The Sesto Fiorentino Campus is the University's main scientific and technological hub, located in via Gilberto Bernardini, 6, Sesto Fiorentino. It hosts teaching activities, laboratories, scientific departments, research facilities, lecture halls, a library, a university canteen, a DSU residence, and the University Sports Center. 

Here you will find the Science Library, the Margherita Hack Lecture Hall, the Enrica Calabresi Lecture Hall, the Rosalind Franklin Lecture Hall, scientific laboratories, OpenLab, the CUS, the canteen, and the student residence.

The Morgagni Campus is one of the main scientific and healthcare hubs of the University of Florence. It is located in viale G.B. Morgagni, 40/44, Florence, with an additional entrance at via Alderotti, 98. It hosts lecture halls, laboratories, and services connected to the Schools of Human Health Sciences, Engineering, and Mathematical, Physical and Natural Sciences, and is situated near the Careggi university hospital area.

Here you will find lecture halls for educational activities, services related to healthcare teaching, and connections to the facilities in the Careggi area.

Plesso Santa Marta is the main hub for the engineering area at the University of Florence, located in via di Santa Marta, 3, Florence. It hosts teaching activities, departments, laboratories, lecture halls, and services connected to the School of Engineering. 

Here you will find lecture halls for teaching, laboratories, spaces for educational activities, and services related to courses in the engineering area.

Florence's historic center hosts numerous university venues distributed across historic buildings, palaces, former convents, and cultural spaces. Rather than a single campus, it is a network of sites—stretching from piazza Brunelleschi to via Capponi and via Laura—integrated into the city. The various locations host teaching activities and services of the Schools of Psychology, Architecture, and Humanities and Education. 

Here you will find teaching buildings, libraries, lecture halls, study spaces, departments, archives, university museums, and venues connected to the cultural life of the University.

The Calenzano Design Campus is the specialized site dedicated to the design area. It is located in via Sandro Pertini, 93, Calenzano, and hosts teaching activities, project spaces, a main hall, faculty offices, and services related to the design courses of the School of Architecture. 

Here you will find lecture halls, laboratories, design teaching spaces, exhibition areas, and services dedicated to design students.

The Polo Universitario Città di Prato is located in piazza dell'Università, 1, Prato. It is a site of the University of Florence in the metropolitan area, offering teaching activities, advanced training, applied research, and connections with the local area and businesses.

Here you will find lecture halls, laboratories, student services, educational activities, and spaces dedicated to innovation and collaboration with the local production system.
