Unifi4Future is the Unifi competition aimed at enhancing the quality of research and the competitiveness of the University of Florence in participating in the European Research Council (ERC), Starting Grant scheme.

The call for proposals, open to researchers of any age and nationality, either internal or external to the University, intends to reward the 5 projects that will stand out for their radically innovative scientific ideas as well as for the scientific skills of the participating researchers. 

The selected candidates will undertake to submit their project idea to the ERC Starting Grant call and will receive a grant of € 70,000.00, which will be used to contract the researcher by means of a dedicated 18-month research fellowship and to cover expenses for the preparation of the project proposal.
