Enrol in a first or a single‑cycle degree programme

You can enrol if you hold an upper‑secondary school diploma or a foreign qualification recognised as valid.

Check the list of degree programmes to see whether the one you are interested in has unrestricted or restricted access, and follow the corresponding enrolment procedure.

1. Register: create your profile on the GCS portal.
2. Enrol: complete the online enrolment form within the deadlines indicated in the deadlines calendar.
3. Pay the first instalment of tuition fees, which will be generated in the GCS portal. You must pay within the deadlines set in the deadlines calendar.

Next steps

• You will receive your student ID number within 5 days.
• Your institutional email account (@edu.unifi.it) will be activated within the following 5 days. Always use it: it is the only official communication channel.
• You will receive the Tuscany Student Card (Carta studente della Toscana), which grants access to all services.

Read the admission call carefully: for these programmes (local or national) you must follow the specific instructions and deadlines set out in the relevant admission calls.

Admission to years after the first: you can enrol only if places are available and if you meet the requirements set out in the admission call (details are available in the “Transfers” section).
