Board of Governors

The Board of Governors (Consiglio di Amministrazione) is the University’s governing, strategic, and supervisory body.

It is chaired by the Rector and comprises eleven members in total: the Rector; two student representatives; and eight members, including five internal members and three external members not employed by the University. External members are selected—including from international candidates—for their proven, high-level expertise in management or distinguished professional experience, with due regard for scientific and cultural qualifications.

The responsibilities of the Board of Governors include approving the Regulations for Administration, Finance and Accounting, the annual and multi-year forecast budgets, and three-year strategic planning documents; it also oversees the financial sustainability of all University activities.
