Campuses and transportation

As part of the Trenitalia for Business program, Trenitalia reserves the Welfare PLUS offer for students (more information through the dedicated newsletter) and staff of the University of Florence (more information on the Intranet), a special discount valid for the purchase of tickets for private trips.

On the basis of an agreement with the Bit Mobililty company  – which is also a concessionaire of the Municipality of Florence – university students can rent electric push scooters, at a discounted price: the company provides a discount equal to 2 free daily unlocks and a 20% discount on the time-based rate, in use within the Municipality of Florence. To take advantage of these benefits, you must access the web page using your institutional email address as an account and entering the UNIFIRENZEBIT convention code.

Please note that there is a municipal regulation in force that provides for the mandatory use of helmets when riding scooters.

On the basis of the agreement with Enjoy, university students can take advantage of discounted rates for car rental.

The discount is applied in all five cities where Enjoy is active (in addition to Florence, Milan, Rome, Turin and Bologna), with the limitation that the rental must begin and end in the urban area covered by the service of the same city. 

As far as Florence is concerned, the reference area also includes the Sesto Fiorentino campus: consult the map with the coverage area.

In addition to the FIAT 500 and Doblò, the Enjoy fleet also includes electric minicars. The car sharing service allows free access to limited traffic areas, free parking in paid areas and dedicated parking at airports and railway stations.

The use of the service is totally digital and is linked to the Enjoy app within which it is necessary to create a personal profile and upload one's documents including a driver's license.

Through the Enjoy app it is possible to book the vehicle, open and close the rental as well as make the relevant payment. The agreement stipulated by the University allows students and staff to use the service with preferential conditions: see the rates (pdf)

Access to the agreement is automatic by subscribing to the service through the Unifi institutional email.

Especially:

• For those who are already registered with a personal email, it will be necessary to change the email and, at the same time as the change, you will immediately access the agreement;
• For those who register for the first time, it is necessary to use the Unifi email and access to the agreement will be automatic.

From June 2023, a new carpooling service has been active for all users of the Metropolitan City of Florence, provided by the company JOJOB, with the possibility of receiving the credit accumulated on each shared trip via cashback.
