Studente della Toscana Card

The University of Florence issues its students the Carta Studente della Toscana (Tuscany Student Card): a regional, personal card that serves as an ID document within the University.

The card can be used to:

  • access the dining halls of the Regional Agency for the Right to University Education (DSU);
  • use the University’s libraries;
  • benefit from discounts and concessions reserved for university students at museums, theatres, and shops

Sending the card to enroled students

If you have enroled at Unifi, you will receive your student card at the address you provided when you enroled.

Your card can only be printed and sent if you have uploaded a valid photo and paid the first instalment of your fees.

To recharge your canteen account, simply log in to the Ricarichiamoci portal.

Theft, loss, deterioration

In the event of theft, loss, or damage of the Tuscany Student Card, you can request a duplicate by completing the form available below and sending it to cartastudente(AT)unifi.it.

FAQs

Ph.D. students enroled in their first year of study will receive their card at the address provided during enrolment once the enrolment process has been completed.

The photo must be a frontal image, in focus and with the face clearly distinguishable, like a passport photo; recent (no more than six months old); 35x40mm in size; with a plain, uniform background; in JPEG or JPG format.

Without a valid photo, you will not be able to receive the Tuscany Student Card.

Access to the catering service is provided exclusively through the ‘My DSU’ app, which replaces all previous forms of identification (the ‘Studente della Toscana’ card, the ‘DSU Card’, etc.).
