Pathways of Peace

Building on the University’s scientific, cultural, and civic commitment, and in continuity with national and international networks dedicated to peace studies, the University of Florence is launching a series of initiatives to promote a culture of peace, human rights, and intercultural dialogue.

In synergy with the actions of RUniPace—the Network of Italian Universities for Peace promoted by the Conference of Italian University Rectors (CRUI), to which the University adheres—and with the awareness that our work is inspired not only by the fundamental principles of the Constitution but also by cooperation among peoples and the rejection of war as a means of violating freedom, “Percorsi di pace. Lezioni e dialoghi all’Università di Firenze”—Paths of Peace. Lectures and Dialogues at the University of Florence, aims to highlight the University’s wealth of expertise on the subject, reaffirming its role as a space for critical reflection, dialogue, and public responsibility.

Lezioni e dialoghi all’Università di Firenze” (Paths of Peace. Lectures and Dialogues at the University of Florence) seeks to showcase the University’s extensive expertise on these themes, reaffirming its role as a space for critical reflection, dialogue, and public responsibility.

The program, developed through broad participation, engages the entire University community. Its strongly multidisciplinary initiatives include lectures, seminars, workshops, meetings, presentations, and exhibitions.
