Ideas for innovation and the future, The Falling Walls Lab Florence

The international competition stops by UNIFI

Dedicated to PhD students and young researchers working on a project, a social or entrepreneurial initiative. One of the preparatory events of The Falling Walls Lab, the interdisciplinary forum that offers hundreds of emerging talents, entrepreneurs and innovators a stage to present their research work, initiatives or business models to colleagues, to a jury of experts and the general public, stops by the University of Florence.

The appointment at the University is Thursday, September 27th (3 pm - Aula Magna, Piazza San Marco, 4).

The participants put themselves to the test by comparing their working hypothesis with other innovators and experts from all fields of knowledge. The only condition: present their idea in just 3 minutes.

To participate in the Florentine event candidates have until September 14 (extended) to send in their application. Information and details on falling-walls.com/lab/apply

Some of the projects illustrated in Florence will be selected to take part in the final conference of The Falling Walls Lab, scheduled for November 9 in Berlin.

The Falling Walls Lab Florence is promoted as part of the Unifi events for the European Researchers' Night, which is celebrated this year on September 28th. The Falling Walls is the name of a foundation born in the aftermath of the fall of the Berlin Wall.

Every year it organizes a conference dedicated to the themes of innovation in science and society. Innovators from over 75 countries participated in the various editions.
