An innovative experiment on molecular nanostructures

The results of the experiment published in Nature Communications

Perhaps they will be the memories in the nanodevices of the future or the basic elements of quantum computers, but first we need to understand how they work and what performance they have when they are deposited on conductive surfaces.

They are the magnetic molecules and their behavior in contact with a conductive surface is the focus of the experiment coordinated by Roberta Sessoli and carried out with unconventional technologies by the team of researchers of the Departments of Chemistry and Physics of the University of Florence, in collaboration with Andrea Cornia, University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, and with colleagues from the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility (ESFR) in Grenoble, France.
