Suspension of all teaching activity due to the Coronavirus health emergency. This is what the decree of the President of the University Luigi Dei says, following the Italian government's indications.
The suspension of all activities whichever the venue, will be in force until 3 April 2020.
The measures taken are as follows:
- from Monday 9 March all in-class teaching activities will be replaced by forms of e-learning according to the procedure prepared by SIAF
- for students with disabilities, CESPD will take care of all the customized teaching methods as required;
- any exam sessions are suspended;
- special remote exam sessions will be set up as of 24 March exclusively for students who are graduating in the April 2020 session;
- all laboratory exercises, field or off-site work, and all internship activities are suspended;
- All scheduled graduation sessions will be held from today to 30/04/2020; the discussion will take place in remote mode only, in the manner indicated in the President’s decree n. 360/2020. Download the "Declaration of acceptance of remote examination conditions" - pdf | rtf
- teaching staff office hours are suspended and will be replaced by electronic means of contact;
- the front-office services for students are active only in by phone and email at all branches (student offices, orientation, international desks, schools and departments); in case of urgent necessity an appointment can be arranged;
- the use of study spaces is not allowed;
- the libraries are closed to the public. Read more on the Libraries website
- the university venues not dedicated to teaching will remain open and all administrative services will be active albeit in a reduced capacity;
- teachers, postdoctoral students, PhD students, scholarship holders and thesis scholars need to check with their supervisors about the need to be at work. In such cases they need to carry their university ID card and sign a self-declaration stating the reason for their travel (self-dec form rtf - pdf);
- the concierge, cleaning and surveillance services remain active;
- the board meetings of the various Academic Bodies are suspended in the face-to-face mode. Remote meetings are authorized according to the emergency procedures published on the site;
- all teaching staff travel is suspended, with the exception of those documented instances where postponement is not feasible. Such cases which will be verified and authorized by the President of the Department;
- university staff in care-giving positions, including postgraduates, except for teaching and research activities, will be subject to the provisions of the relevant healthcare-providing bodies;
- public competition procedures are postponed.
