Learning Objectives
Acquisition of knowledge, skills and competences about the philosophical notion of Phenomenology with particular reference to Merleau-Ponty.
Knowledge: students verify their general knowledge achieved during the BA course by reading and commenting a text under teacher's supervision and by using specific bibliographic resources. Competence: by analyzing the text and by comparing it both with preceding as well as with contemporary tradition, the students develop their capacities of understanding and of autonomous evaluation. Furthermore they put text and concepts into correct context within the development of philosophical thought. Applying knowledge they also exercise in elaborating coherently their own ideas and in exposing their achievements in proper scientific language.

Teaching Methods
The lead lecture is always preceded and followed by a dialogue which permits the introduction and assimilation of the subject that is addressed from time to time. Slides are used to summarise the principle points of the lecture, then uploaded onto the Moodle platform in order to facilitate the bedding down of the contents.

Type of Assessment
Oral examination and written paper. The final examination aims to assess the student's actual level of knowledge. This consists of a conversation with the teacher focused on various topics related to the content of the course. Particular attention will be addressed to the assessment of the student's capacities of problems contextualization and critical analysis.
