History, Culture and European Citizens

A new post-graduate programme

"Encourage young graduates across Europe to become aware of a European identity that is a shared heritage of the generations who will represent the continent’s ruling class in the coming decades."

This is the objective of the post-graduate course “History, Culture and European Citizenship”, established by the University of Florence for the academic year 2020/21.

Participants will receive interdisciplinary training on cross-cutting issues of civic and cultural interest, regardless of the training acquired in their previous academic career and will be able to integrate specific skills with a general vision aimed at building a leadership class strongly aware of the unavoidable need for integration on a European scale. The initiative aims to develop civic education in the framework of higher education, by getting a deeper understanding of history, culture and European citizenship, which are fundamental to practicing any profession.

The learning activities will take place from the end of March to November 2021; either in person or remotely or in a mixed mode, according to the evolution of the Covid-19 emergency. The lectures will be in Italian and will be translated into English.

The deadline for applications is Monday 22 March; all information on the admission requirements and how to register is available online. For further information email: info.perfez_europe(AT)sagas.unifi.it
