Learning Objectives
Use of the software necessary to gain access to the services offered by the Net and to the enviroments for the creation of Web pages (with particular attention to HTML language). Detailed information and methods for using interfaces for the creation of queries aiming at getting specific information from online data bases contanining psychological informations.

Course program
Encoding both numeral and alphanumerical informations in a machine, analysis of the flow of operations taking place during the execution of a program. Study of the HTML language, with particular reference to common tags, that make the creation of simple static Web pages possible. Study of the syntax of queries for online data bases, such as PsycINFO, in order to obtain specific information with particular reference to proximity operators, logical operators, field restrictors, etc.. Formulation of queries through the use of adequate interafaces.
