Management and improvement of agriculture, forestry and wetlands. Population dynamics. Management of populations. Censuses and estimates. Plans of consolidation and reduction. Main concepts of Biology of warm-blooded animals, botany, management of ecoagricultural systems.

Type of Assessment
Exam modality: oral examination on at least three topics covered in lectures and laboratory.
Aim of examination is to evaluate the personal preparation and critical skills acquired in tackling the many aspects of wildlife management, property in technical language, the simplicity and the ability to tell and transmit knowledge

Features, functions and value of agricultural areas, forest and wetlands. Environmental factors of resistance to wildlife in rural areas. New forestry management guidelines.
Land use for wildlife (recall on).
Wild animal populations dynamics.
Wildlife Management: Carnivores (Wolf, Bear, Lynx), Ungulates (roe deer, fallow deer, chamois, mouflon, wild boar), hare, wild rabbit, birds of agricultural systems (Phasianidae) and forest systems (Tetraonidae).
Bird of prey management.
Migratory birds management .
Wildlife (re)introduction and recovery. Censuses and estimates.

Wetland wildlife management: Ramsar Convention. Natural and artificial Wetlands. Wetland vegetation. Dune systems. Lagoons. Bird populations management: lawn birds or marginal swamp birds. Reed Birds. Shorebirds. Birds of the shallow water. Diving birds. Other birds. Interior wetlands management: renaturalisation, maintenance of ponds and reed beds, anthropogenic use. Coastal wetlands management: coastal erosion defense; anthropic disorder prevention; maintaining of natural conditions of salinity.
