For the exam, a written study on a subject agreed with the teacher is required to be submitted at least 15 days before the date of the oral examination with a piece of literature analysis and research and analysis with respect to the professional practice of Social workers
Course program
Research is a constituent element of cognitive processes and professional knowledge. A number of themes that are considered to meet the needs of knowledge of the profession and organizations will be discussed. In particular, the theme of research for, of and on social service through qualitative methodologies and, in particular, the biographical approach, which allows the retrieval of information of different origin for the reconstruction of the scenarios present in the profession and 'Trend of life paths in the relationship with social service organizations.
Supervision is the other proposed element as a process of building knowledge and professional identity. Through a historical - methodological reconstruction of the supervision in the Italian landscape in comparison with other psychological disciplines, the aim is to lay the foundations within which to place a critical view of the different supervisory methodologies and to indicate the theoretical references in supervisory activity that responds to the new needs of the social service.
