Class attendance plus writing a short essay (10-15 pages) on a specific topic about Rome in the age of the Flavian Emperors. dealing with urbanistics, architecture, sculpture or minor arts between 69-96 d.C. The topic will be agreed by the teacher.

Learning Objectives
After acquiring through class lectures a general knowledge of the archaeology of the Flavians, the student will deepen his/her understanding of a specific aspect by means of the essay.
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of Roman art and archaeology
Teaching Methods
Class lectures, tutorials for the essay, and visits to Rome and Florence sites and museums.
Type of Assessment
Oral exam, which will discuss the topics presented in class with slides and the individual essay.
