Course Content
After a brief outline of the basic elements of a centralized State, of a regional State, of a federal State, the course will deal with the fundamental aspects of Italian regionalism and of the system of Italian local powers.
For those attending the lectures: the programme will be defined at the beginning of the course.

Course program
The regionalization process in the Italian after WWII experience. Difference between so called special and ordinary Regions. The law making powers of the Regions (in particular related to Regional Statutes according to the decisions by the Constitutional court). The administrative and the financial powers. How political decisions are taken and by which authority. State-Regional relations, Ue-Regional relations.
Municipalities and provinces during the Monarchy. Local entities according to the 1948 Constitution. The reform of 1990 (law no. 142). Local entities after the 2001 Reform of Title V of Part II of the Constitution and after the latest legislative reforms.
