Legenda
I was born in Pistoia (Tuscany, Italy) on December 29, 1968. I graduated cum laude in 1994 (M.Sc. in Electronic Engineering) and I achieved a Ph.D. (in Telematics in 2001). In 2001 I joined the Department of Informaton Engineering (formerly Department of Electronics and Telecommunications) as Assistant Professor of Electrical Measurements, Electronic Measurements and Electromagnetic Compatibility Measurements. Since 2020 I am Associate Professor of Electronic Measurements (Master Degree in Electronic Systems Engineering) and Electrical Measurements (Bachelor Degree in Electronic Engineering).
I married in 2004 with Beatrice and I have two sons, Alberto and Emilio.
Carlo Carobbi was born in Pistoia, Italy, in 1968. He received the M.Sc. (cum laude) degree in Electronic Engineering and the Ph.D. degree in Telematics and Information Society from the University of Florence, Florence, Italy, in 1994 and 2000, respectively. Since 2001, he has been an Assistant Professor and, from 2020, an Associate Professor with the Department of Information Engineering of the University of Florence, where he teaches the courses in electrical measurements and electronic measurements.
His main research interests are devoted to electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) measurements (any kind of quantity, conducted, radiated, low and high frequency).
He is member and convenor of international groups of standardization of the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) in the area of electromagnetic compatibility. He is recipient of the 1906 award from the IEC for his contribution to the development of EMC standards.
He is currently Chair of the International Union of Radio Science (URSI) Commission E and President of the Italian Member Committee of URSI.
He is senior member of IEEE and senior member of URSI.
